Do Hindus worship the creation and not the Creator?
Hindus believe: Both respect for the creation and the creator go hand in hand. It is said, "those
who abuse the creation heap contempt on the Creator." How can you claim to worship
someone if you scorn his creation?

Explanation:
Yes Hindus worship creation rather than the Creator. When you worship creation it's like giving respect to TV or Car instead of the maker and inventor of TV or Car. When president or Prime minister of the land comes you salute him thus you give him/her respect. But what would happen when you bow down and worship car, house, and dress of higher authority? Will you not look fool before others? The same thing is here. We should not worship creation but we should worship and glorify the Creator (Jesus) who is the real creator of the world.
Hindus think that when they worship creation by doing it they are giving respect to the creator. That's not true. Giving respect and worshiping is entirely different things. You can protect plantation and forest without worshiping it. You can protect the rivers by keeping it's water clean without worshiping it. When you worship stones, cows, trees and rivers you are acknowledging and giving it respect thinking these are the Creator while these don't have any ability to control the universe. They don't have ability to save you from trouble and evil. In other words these are dead things which doesn't have thinking power, will power or almighty powers.
When you worship things of the world God has created by doing it you are not only ignoring God but in fact you are insulting Him and mocking His ability and power and giving glory to the things which has no power in themselves. It's like king/presedent or higher authority of the land came and if you don't mind or give attention to him/her instead if you invite his driver and if you take care of him like king. What would happen? The higher authority will get upset and he'll feel that you've insulted him. The same thing is here when you worship and bow down before the things of the world instead of one who has created by doing it you are insulting God the creator.
Here is what Bible has to say about Creation worshippers:
Romans1: 18-32, The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness,
19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them.
20 For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities-his eternal power and divine nature-have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.
21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened.
22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools
23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles.
24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25 They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator-who is forever praised. Amen.
26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.
28 Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done. 29 They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31 they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless. 32 Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.
