John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."
Bible says clearly that Jesus is the only way. Only through Jesus we can reach heaven, nothing else can save a person. Several times I see people doing lot of rituals & social work to please God. Some think, "if I go to Church regularly, if I take Holy communion regularly, if I sing in choir, if I become a committee member, I will reach heaven, because by doing this I am serving God." I don't say it is wrong, it is indeed good, but if you have never accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord & Savior, you will never reach heaven.
John 3:3 Jesus answered and said to him, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." John 3:7 "Do not marvel that I said to you, 'You must be born again."
Once I heard the experience of a man of God, who saw a vision. In the vision he saw that he was standing at the gate of heaven. There was an angel at the gate. And a person came (after death) & said to the angel, "Look I did lot of social work, I gave lot of money to poor, I fed people who were hungry, I clothed people who were necked, and so on. But the angel said to him you are not eligible to get a place in heaven.
Then the second person came & said "look I was very spiritual, when I was on earth. I did lot of work for the Lord, I did lot of prayer meetings, I preached Gospel several times. I was reading Bible & praying, I am the person who is eligible to enter into heaven. But the angel said, "Sorry you don't have entry, you do not fulfill the criteria of God to get a place in heaven.
Now a third person came, he said, "Look I saved two boys from drowning in river. I saved them, but because of that I lost my life. I am the most eligible person to live in heaven." And again the angel refused him.
Now the forth person came. She said, "I am the person who is eligible to enter in heaven. The angel asked her "What have you done". She replied joyfully, "I am blood washed person. I have accepted Lord Jesus as my savior. My sins have been forgiven." Then the angel said "yes you are the person eligible to enter into the kingdom of God."
Look how simple it is, but many of us do not know the simple truth. We all do some kinds of rituals, but how sad it is that we do not accept the sacrifice of Lord Jesus, we do not want to pray that simple prayer, we do not want to get rid of sin. Lord Jesus died for us on the cruel cross to save you & me. He paid the price for us, we need not to do lot of hard work to reach heaven. Lord Jesus has already done every thing for us. He carried our sins, He died on behalf of us, so that we may not die in our sins, we may not lose eternal life. There is a very beautiful song about the blood of Jesus, I am writing some of the lines of that song.....
What can wash away my sin? Nothing but the blood of Jesus;
What can make me whole again? Nothing but the blood of Jesus;
For my pardon this I see - Nothing but the blood of Jesus;
Nothing can for sin atone - Nothing but the blood of Jesus;
O! precious is the flow That makes me white as snow;
No other fount I know, Nothing but the blood of Jesus;
You might have been singing this song several times, but have you ever accepted Lord Jesus as your savior ? Yes the blood of Jesus is available for us. Think about it, how great was the love of God. John 15:13, "Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends." He gave His own life to save you & me from sin & eternal destruction. Remember, we are not going to live in this world for ever. Our life is too short, no body knows when life will end. If we gain every thing in this world, but if we do not reach heaven, if we lose our own soul, what is the use of this life? Mathew 16:26 "For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?" Think about it, secure your place in heaven before it is too late. Come to Jesus & get that eternal life.
Please pray this prayer with sincere heart:
Lord Jesus I believe that you died for me. I believe that you have shed your precious blood on Calvary's cross for me. You came to save me. I accept that I am a sinner. I did things which are not right in the sight of God. I have sinned. Please wash me with your precious blood. Cleanse me from all unrighteousness. Make me a new person, give me a new heart. Please save my soul. I promise you, hear after I will live for you. I will serve you. I will walk in your ways. I will walk in holiness. I will love you all the days of my life. I pray this prayer in Jesus name. Amen.
